Re:  HTP Wicks

We have been informed by our wick manufacturer that the HTP wicks have recently changed slightly.  Aparently the machine used to braid these wicks is being adjusted differently now, which will cause the wicks to be more consistent in width.  Following is their explanation:

"We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has given us helpful feedback regarding the HTP series.  Due to it's popularity, we are continuously striving to improve this line in order to offer you the best product possible.  This increased demand for HTP wick has prompted several in-house studies, which have revealed some inconsistencies in this line.  Since we are dedicated to producing the highest quality and consistent wick, we have slightly modified the HTP series.  In order to deliver the consistency needed in your finished product, we have altered the production of the wick to be able to run at a consistent speed and more importantly a consistent width.  This adjustment may give you a slightly lower capillary capacity.  No materials have changed.  We are convinced that you will see the hightened performance of the HTP line."

Production of the new adjusted HTP wicks began on February 3rd.  We were only just informed about this a few days ago.  So while we do know that all HTP wicks we order from this point on will be the new stock, we unfortunately have no way of knowing which bags of our current stock might be from the new production line and which are from the old.  We have been informed by our manufacturer that in their tests they saw little if any difference in the burn.  If you have had any batches of HTP wicks in the past that seemed not quite the same each time, you should start seeing a definate improvement in future batches!  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.  Thank You!
